IPMAT Exam Pattern, Topics & Expected Cut-Off 2025

The Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is conducted by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak for admission to their 5-year integrated management program. The exam tests aptitude, reasoning, and communication skills of students after Class XII.
IPMAT 2025 Exam Pattern
- IIM Indore: 90 minutes with three sections — Quantitative Ability (MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answers), and Verbal Ability.
- IIM Rohtak: 120 minutes with three sections — Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability.
- Each section has a fixed time limit (30-40 minutes), and negative marking is applicable (except short answers).
Important Topics to Prepare
- Quantitative Ability: Number Systems, Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry, Data Interpretation
- Verbal Ability: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Para-jumbles
- Logical Reasoning (IIM Rohtak only): Series, Coding-Decoding, Puzzles, Blood Relations, Syllogisms
Expected Cut-Off for IPMAT 2025
- IIM Indore: Overall 260–270 marks out of 360 (approx.) with sectional cut-offs for each section.
- IIM Rohtak: Overall 260+ marks out of 480. Each section generally has a cut-off of 80–90 marks.
- Final selection includes WAT & PI rounds.
Note: The cut-off varies each year based on difficulty level, number of applicants, and overall performance.
